Assembly
Assemblies at Poorna are alive with excitement and creativity; students across groups present their work and learning through skits, plays, songs, poems, dance-dramas and book reviews. Once a week, there is a presentation and sharing of local and world news and events chosen by the students.

Weekly Community Lunch
Every Wednesday one group of students cook and serve food for the entire community. Simple, hot and healthy food is prepared, sometimes with a sweet! Each group waits excitedly for their turn to cook for the school as they get to decide the menu, go to the local market to buy vegetables and other ingredients,

Student Parliament
A monthly meeting of the entire student body where any concerns the students may have, any changes they may want to initiate as well as any decisions that need to be made are addressed. The parliament is an exciting space where all topics from responsible waste segregation to safe and respectful communication are discussed, debated

Open Period & Activities
A range of activities are available to students to choose from during the activity periods that happen at the end of the day. Yoga, Gardening, Science Lab, Baking, Re-cycling, Carpentry, Tabla, Craft, Theatre, Music, Media Club, Bird-watching, Clay-modelling and Composting are some of the activities offered. Field Trips & Class Excursions
Day trips in and around the city are an integral part of the learning experience at Poorna. Visits to the museum, planetarium, zoo, places of cultural and historical importance like Srirangapatna, government offices and police stations, post offices and fire stations, local lakes, gardens and parks provide insight and exposure to students about their environment

Sports Day
Celebrated on children’s day, the sports day boasts of many individual and group sporting events. From lemon and spoon race to relays, football and dodge-ball, students wait with great anticipation and enthusiasm for this day.

Pratibimba is one of the most awaited events in the academic calendar. The entire community prepares for an evening of song, dance and drama, which marks the culmination of many weeks of creative engagement, expression and hard work.

The Poorna Mela is a fair like no other! The mela is platform for that brings the entire community; students-new and old, staff and parents together. The mela is known for its colourful and electric atmosphere replete with many activities, displays and innovative art and craft products.
